OUR MISSION

Established in 1884, Trinity Lutheran School is the oldest parochial school in Fremont. Recognized for its consistent history of academic excellence and ability to promote and encourage moral development while sharing God's Word, Trinity offers a complete program of instruction from kindergarten through the eighth grade at the East Campus on Luther Road. Infant care through preschool is also available at the Trinity Early Childhood Center at 3rd and C Street.

Trinity Lutheran School is part of a system of over 1,000 elementary and middle schools in the United States operated by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Approximately 300,000 students are enrolled in these schools, and the figures are growing each year! Trinity Lutheran School is proud to be a Christ-centered educational ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church.

At first glance, Trinity Lutheran School looks like any normal school of high quality. Students learn what they would in any exemplary public school. Excellence is promoted, and creativity is encouraged. Teachers quickly respond to requests and special needs, and the atmosphere is one of mutual acceptance, cooperation, and respect.

However, there is more than the eye sees. As an alternative to public education, Trinity strives to promote academic excellence while God's Word is integrated throughout the entire curriculum. Therefore, we promote the Christian faith resulting in an emphasis on moral and spiritual development, relationships, discipline, and values.

It's very common and encouraging to see our alumni continue to excel in academics at the high school and college levels as well as functioning as productive Christian citizens of communities throughout the world. It is our hope and prayer that the Lord would continue to bless us richly as He has in the past.

Our mission, as an extension of the ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church, is to provide an education that focuses on developing the whole child as a disciple of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Growth opportunities which integrate God's Word are provided in spiritual, scholastic, emotional, and aesthetic areas. Children are led by the Spirit of God to believe what is taught in our school. That teaching will remain throughout their lives!

STATE APPROVED

Trinity Lutheran School is a Nebraska State Approved School. All of our teachers maintain a current Nebraska Teaching Certificate.

NLSA ACCREDITATION

Trinity Students

In addition to being approved by the State of Nebraska, Trinity Lutheran School has also received national recognition for offering a quality K-8 educational curriculum. Accreditation was awarded by the National Lutheran School Accreditation. This is upgraded each year.

CURRICULUM

The curriculum of Trinity includes the same basic subjects as those in the public schools; however, we approach each of these subjects in light of God's Word. Academic life is supplemented and enriched in various ways through modern technology, field trips, educational TV, dramatics, instrumental and choral music, other fine arts, etc.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

The question is often asked, "How do Trinity's students compare to those in public schools?" Trinity?s graduates have maintained a very fine reputation since 1884, not only for their good academic standing, but also for their good behavior and extracurricular achievements. Using recent standardized tests, over 85% of Trinity's students scored at or above grade level. Over 35% were in the top 20% compared to other students on a national level. Trinity promotes excellence!

STUDENT BODY

The majority of Trinity's students are members of Trinity Lutheran Church; however, Trinity welcomes students from other churches and denominations. We are a Christian school that teaches with a Lutheran perspective. We encourage all students to attend worship services and Bible instruction classes regularly to gain the blessings that come from a close relationship with God.

TECHNOLOGY

Trinity is equipped with modern multi-media computers in the classrooms and the computer lab. Each classroom and the lab are also equipped with filtered Internet accessibility.

ENROLLMENT

Kindergartner students must be at least five years old on or before October 15th. Since a child's success is largely determined by his or her social and emotional readiness, parents wishing to enroll a child whose birth-date falls close to October 15th may wish to meet with the teacher and the principal to discuss the child's maturity level.

Trinity Lutheran School does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, color, or sex in its enrollment policy or in participation in any of its classes or activities. All enrollments are subject to approval by Trinity's Board of Child Ministry. It is a privilege, not a right, to be enrolled at Trinity.

IMMUNIZATION

Parents must present an up-to-date immunization record conforming to the education laws of the State of Nebraska. We request a doctor's physical for Kindergarten students, 7th grade students, and any child transferring in from another state. If you have any questions or concerns regarding immunizations, please contact the school office at 721-5959.

BUILDING AND GROUNDS

Trinity's East Campus encompasses over nine acres. We recently completed an extensive building addition and remodeling program in 2003. The church and school is connected and includes 10 modern classrooms, library, computer lab, music room, multipurpose room, gymnasium, chapel, and large sanctuary. The facility is a beautiful structure that is conducive to a quality learning and Christ-centered environment.

SPORTS PROGRAM

Sports Program

Children in grades 5-8 have the opportunity to compete against other schools in interscholastic sports. The majority of the games are played against other Lutheran schools, and the tournaments are a highlight for the players and their families. Trinity's sports include the following: tackle football, volleyball, basketball, track, as well as other sporting activities that are sponsored by the local YMCA and other Fremont schools.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Trinity Lutheran School is supported financially by offerings from members from Trinity Lutheran Church, school tuition, donations from supporters of Trinity, and various fundraisers. Trinity believes whole-heartedly in quality, Christian education; therefore, to make it available to as many as possible, we do not charge what it actually costs to educate each child. Members of Trinity Lutheran Church, who attend church on a regular basis, are charged a different rate because it is understood that they will be active, giving members of the congregation. Member and non-member parents should understand and prayerfully consider the fact that it costs approximately $4,000 to educate each child. The lower tuition rates should not be interpreted as a ?less expensive? education. Families have the opportunity to contribute above and beyond the charged amount that they are capable of giving. What a family gives is a matter between them and the Lord.

WHOLENESS IN EDUCATION

Many schools claim to teach the whole child. They say that children need to grow academically, emotionally, socially, physically, and creatively. Trinity Lutheran School

We agree. But how can a person be whole without spiritual growth? Trinity Lutheran School, in fact, believes that wholeness springs from faith and belief in the caring Christ. He is central to any hope for wholeness. If you want a quality education for your child, if you want to give your child a firm spiritual and moral base for the future, if you want your child to experience wholeness in all aspects of life, Trinity Lutheran School welcomes you! We are equipped and eager to share the caring Christ!
